What makes skin sag above the eyes?

I realize the natural aging process is ultimately what makes the skin above the eyes sag, but is there anything we can do to help prevent the sagging?  Anything we can do to prevent having to get a brow lift when we are older?

Re: What makes skin sag above the eyes?

There are some make up techniques that should probably be avoided.

Smudging eye liner to create the "smokey" eye affect is pretty hard on the lids.  You'd do less damage by using a dark eye shadow, in powder form, to avoid stretching the tissues around the eyes.

In those who have lost weight, sagging eyes may occur. This is due to the loss of fat in that area and the skin needs to be tightened. A browlift is a better option. I have no idea about non surgical options. However, would get back to you soon.
